Website visits and hosting

This website is hosted on Vercel. Delivering pages and protecting the service can involve processing technical request data, including your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser information, and diagnostic or security information.

We use this information to serve the website, investigate faults, and protect against abuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Hosting providers process data as needed to operate their services. Details of Vercel’s processing are available in its Privacy Notice and Data Processing Addendum.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and any personal information you include in your message. We use it to respond and manage the conversation.

For general enquiries, processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR may apply. Legal record-keeping obligations, where applicable, are based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Cookies and browser storage

The website itself does not set cookies or store preferences in your browser. It follows your device’s colour scheme without saving a separate theme preference. Fonts are served with the website rather than requested from an external font service.

There are no accounts, contact forms, advertising scripts, or analytics integrations in this website. Hosting infrastructure may apply security measures needed to handle abusive traffic.

Recipients and international processing

Data may be handled by providers necessary for website hosting and email delivery, or disclosed where required by law. We do not sell personal data or use enquiries for advertising.

Hosting services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. For information about international processing and safeguards, see Vercel’s Privacy Notice and, where applicable to the hosting plan, its Data Processing Addendum.

How long data is kept

Technical data is kept only as needed for service operation, security, and troubleshooting, subject to the hosting provider’s applicable retention settings. We do not keep a separate database of visitor profiles.

Correspondence is kept while needed to address your enquiry and, where necessary, meet legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. The purpose of the conversation and applicable legal requirements determine the retention period.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Data portability applies where its legal conditions are met. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent.

To make a request, contact hello@boringcode.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, including Poland’s Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).

Providing information in an email is voluntary. Without enough information, we may be unable to answer your enquiry. We do not use personal data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

We will update this page when our practices change and show the revision date above. For information about the website operator and content, see Legal.
